“The Ridge is a gorgeous, challenging course, and The Ridge staff do a stellar job of tournament orchestration, from the planning to the execution of every detail.  Head Pro Mike Weingartner is hands-on, greeting and mingling with the players, and the tournament coordinator, Alex Weldon, sees to all the provisions–longest & closest-to markers, personalized score cards and name placards on the carts, rules sheets, handling all the scoring calculations, emcee’ing an award ceremony.  Truly a class act.  Everything went smoothly and the players completely enjoyed the course and the tournament. The after-party included a happy hour, award ceremony and banquet for a group reunion.  The menu, service, ambiance, private group seating area, flat panel TV for presentations, etc. – were outstanding.  If anybody has a notion that Park Place has a so-so menu or service, that is old history and is definitely not the case now.  The pulled pork & brisket with fresh soft rolls, corn-on-the-cob, and roasted potatoes were terrific food – high quality, classy presentation, and really friendly pricing.  I especially like that The Ridge is relaxed about contractual aspects, e.g., accommodating last minute changes, no problem if a player or two are no-shows, etc.  We didn’t get nickel and dimed for any provisions at all.  E.g., the presentation A/V was complimentary.  Kudos to the banquet coordinator, Chris, bar/restaurant manager, Dawne, and the friendly, competent bartender and server staff, Kelsey and Alicia.  You guys ROCK!”
